Rishi Piparaiya

He was an incredible man and a great support in my early years and I will always  remember my chats on the Jeevan Asha balcony with him. He was kind, brilliant, and genuine and I will always have the fondest memories of him. We had our fun times with our parents – our Dads dropping us at Rochester, the annual Chinese lunches when we would come back for the summers, them at our  respective weddings and so on. And will hold on to those memories.

I think I last met uncle when he had come for Dad’s funeral just over 2 years ago. Have been meaning to go by to JA for so many years but never made it. At some level, I think I have wanted to hold onto the images of when we were young and so were our parents. And given the world we are living in, I think they are probably happier – free, not locked down and blessing us from above.

Well, all the love to Aunty, You, Subs, kids and Kunal and his family. It’s not an easy time for sure but it’ll get better with time. He had a great life, touched all of us, and we will celebrate him always.
